Dan Segal is a Senior Manager on the Research & Learning team at NewSchools. In this role, Dan guides decision-making on how NewSchools defines success and implements the systems necessary to measure and improve on this success continuously.
Before joining NewSchools, Dan was Chief of Staff and Acting Program Manager at Evidence Action, where he played a key role in leading organization-wide strategic initiatives and expanding new programming. This included scaling a nascent nutritional program, which aimed to reduce anemia and improve educational outcomes amongst ~25 million children in India. Before that, Dan focused largely on public and social sector projects at McKinsey & Company. He holds a BBA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Outside of work, Dan can be found in a movie theater, comedy club, or compiling an extensive list of the (objectively) best pizzerias and cafes in New York.
