Amy Kiyota is the CEO of Impact Public Schools located in the Puget Sound region of Washington state which includes four high-performing charter elementary schools. Amy most recently served as the Co-CEO and led all internal workstreams and strategies. Prior to this, Amy was Chief of Staff of Impact Public Schools supporting strategic initiatives, fundraising, facilities, and cross-functional management. Amy has also served as the Senior Director of Operations focused on operational excellence across all IPS schools. Amy started at Impact as part of the founding team as the Manager of Operations supporting IPS’s flagship school and continued to support as the founding Assistant Principal of Operations. Prior to moving to Washington, Amy was Director of Operations for a public charter school in Brooklyn, Uncommon Schools. Amy holds a deep commitment to educational excellence and community building through her experiences working with nonprofits and schools. Amy served as the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs, the Managing Director of Development at Educators 4 Excellence, and various other roles in the arts and education sector. She graduated summa cum laude & Phi Beta Kappa from Ursinus College and holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College. Amy lives in South Seattle and in her spare time tries to keep up with her two kids Koji & Namika. She serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Catalyst Public Schools in Bremerton and is currently a Pahara Fellow.
