Erin Harless is the Senior Manager of Research and Learning at NewSchools Venture Fund. In this role, she fosters a vibrant and rigorous learning culture across investment teams by developing comprehensive impact measurement systems and facilitating data-driven decision making. Prior to this role, she was a Senior Analyst on the Innovative Schools team.
Before joining NewSchools, Erin was a research analyst in SRI International’s Center for Education Policy, where she managed rigorous evaluations of educational initiatives to improve teaching quality and student outcomes. She started her career as a small-group instructor at an elementary charter school in Boston, Massachusetts.
Erin holds an Ed.M. in educational policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She earned her B.A. in public policy studies with a minor in Spanish from Duke University.
She is a proud Board Member of the PLUS ME Project. She lives in Los Angeles and enjoys hiking, traveling, and cheering for the Lakers in her free time.
