NewSchools is committed to increasing the diversity of Summit attendees. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we are able to offer a limited number of scholarships to ensure that the cost of registration and travel for the event does not preclude people, particularly emerging Black and Latino leaders, from attending. We will award scholarships to leaders who will contribute to the Summit experience by sharing a range of perspectives and bringing ideas back to their organizations.

Scholarship awards will cover registration fees and, depending on location and need, may also cover travel and hotel costs.

The scholarship application period is now closed. If you completed an application, please note that this does not guarantee that you will receive financial assistance. Actual scholarship awards will be decided on a case-by-case basis and announced at the end of the month.


Where will Summit 2017 take place?

NewSchools Summit 2017 will take place at the Hyatt Regency SFO, conveniently located 5-10 minutes from San Francisco Airport.

Can I speak at Summit?

We will develop a set of topics to cover during Summit and invite potential speakers who have specific expertise on those topics. As always, you are welcome to submit suggestions to and we will determine if your proposal aligns with our intended themes for Summit 2017.
